Handles a variety of commercial real estate transactions including shopping centers, self storage facilities, fuel centers and distribution centers.

Involved in both property acquisition and land use approvals for residential development.

Represents diverse clients including developers, national retailers and lenders, in projects that include big box developments, neighborhood shopping centers, street commercial, resort and multifamily residential development. Serves those clients in matters that involve new store development, sale of excess property, and sale and acquisition of properties that are subject to bankruptcy and loan defaults.

Counsels clients on obtaining state and local governmental incentives for development.

Negotiates Leases, Development Agreements, Municipal Improvement Agreements, Co-Developer Agreements, Easement Agreements, Entitlements Agreements, Covenants, Water Rights Agreements, Construction Contracts, Licensing Agreements, Supply Agreements, Mortgages, Deeds of Trust and other Financing Instruments.

Assists with property tax and property management issues.

Works on projects located throughout the U.S.

Born in Ohio, 1962

Attended high school in New Jersey.

Jim moved west to Utah in 1987 to work for Jones Waldo.  He spent five years in the Wasatch Back doing residential real estate development near Park City, Utah.  In 2004, he relocated to the Chicago area.
