Property, Environmental and Construction Cases

Helped a client regain access to his property when a neighbor locked a gate across the road.  Notably, Kathleen won this case on summary judgment with relatively little expenditure.

Helped resolve a case where her client’s property had been polluted.

Tried a construction case in state court. 

Helped resolve professional negligence claims against an engineer.

Helped successfully negotiate a resolution when a potential buyer sought to enforce a non-binding letter of intent.

Helped defend water rights claims.

Negotiated a successful resolution where a developer breached claims to a buyer.

Successfully defended administrative law court cases. 

Defended wage and hours claims by a client’s disgruntled ex-employee.

Civil Rights Cases

Helped negotiate a resolution where her client, a church, was denied its right to hold services.

Helped broker a satisfactory settlement where her client had been wrongfully arrested and was severely injured in the process.

Contributed significantly to a case in which her client was wrongfully arrested based on political motives.  The team won in Utah Supreme Court and awaits trial.

Commercial and Contract Cases

Represented a developer against buyers seeking to rescind their purchase contracts.

Forced two opponents to dismiss cases against her clients, where those cases were not brought in good faith.

Helped her client bring civil claims against a Ponzi-scheme defendant.

Negotiated successful resolutions where opposing parties breached contracts with Kathleen’s clients.
