  • Has significant trial experience as a commercial litigator in several areas including complex business litigation, intellectual property, environmental and land use litigation, creditors’ rights, securities, real estate, competitive issues and antitrust.
  • Litigates all types of intellectual property disputes including patent infringement, copyright, trademark, and trade secrets, across a wide range of industries.
  • Has litigated multiple cases involving interpretation of documentation concerning transfer, ownership and use of natural resources including, but not limited to litigation over timber rights reserved by Union Pacific. Access to and use of waters flowing over private property in the State of Utah and security interests on lands subject to severed oil and gas estates.
  • Practices labor law focusing on counseling and representing public and private employers on labor and employment matters including, but not limited to collective bargaining, grievances, arbitration, labor litigation and related matters.
  • Works extensively in litigation involving competitive issues including both enforcement and defense of restrictive covenants and antitrust matters.
  • Provides clients with services geared toward the prudent and practical management of electronically-stored information in litigation.
  • Involved in the firm’s International Practice Group, which is focused on advising clients on international mergers and acquisitions, investments, trade arrangements and international dispute resolution. He coordinates efforts in this practice area that focus on China.
  • Represents clients in various types of litigation throughout the western United States.
