Attorney Stephanie Charter Selected for Woman of Achievement Award

Attorney Stephanie Charter was selected by the St. George Local Organization of Business and Professional Women (BPW)/Utah Business Women as a Woman of Achievement for the category of The Professions.

Stephanie practices in the area of family law focusing on adoption, termination of parental rights, custody and divorce. She has extensive experience representing children and child victims of abuse and neglect in the child welfare system. She received her law degree from Creighton University School of Law.

A handful of women representing a broad range of professional and educational backgrounds will be honored Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the annual Woman of Achievement Award ceremony. BPW sponsors local and national scholarships and helps women with career advancement and entrepreneurial success. Other award recipients include:

Woman of Achievement for the category of Cultural Arts is Sondra Horton Fraleigh. She is the Founding Director for Eastwest Somatics Institute for Dance and Movement Studies.

Woman of Achievement for the category of Public Service is Sommer Bowler with American National Insurance.

Woman of Achievement for the category of Media is Dawn McLain with KCSG/CMI at Dixie State College.

Woman of Achievement for the category of Entrepreneurialism is Nicki Pace Richards with Painted Pony and Farmers Market.

Woman of Achievement for the category of Entertainment is Christina Schultz with Dixie State College.

Woman of Achievement for the category of Outstanding Leadership is Lil Baron with Workers Compensation Fund.

Woman of Achievement for the category of Academic is Michelle Delloso with Adidas and Go Girl. 

Woman of Achievement for the category of Humanitarian is Penelope Eicher, Private Practice and Founder of Heartwalk Foundation.

Woman of Achievement for the category of Philanthropic is Janice Brooks-Nichter a society columnist.
