The Jones Waldo Women Lawyers Group was the first women’s group of its kind to be formally established within a Utah law firm. Comprising all of Jones Waldo’s female attorneys, the group covers a wide range of legal specialties ranging from business and corporate law to women’s legal advocacy.

The Women Lawyers Group was formed in 2003 as a way for Jones Waldo to promote women in business, assist female professionals who may be in need of legal services or advice and to promote and support the firm’s female attorneys. By aggressively hosting and participating in a variety of business and community-related events, the group members strive to help women succeed within their organizations and promote legal issues affecting women.

The group is co-chaired by Marianne G. Sorensen and Kathleen E. McDonald. Marianne has been with the firm since 1998 and is a founding member of the Women Lawyers Group and Associate Managing Attorney of Jones Waldo’s St. George office. Kathleen has been with the firm since 2006 and is involved in community organizations including: Women Lawyers of Utah, Tracy Aviary and The Bennion Center.
