Mike Kelley focuses his practice on construction law, in both its transactional and dispute resolution aspects. He represents developers, national retailers, banks, manufacturers, mining companies, health care providers, media companies, governmental entities, utility companies, non-profit organizations, architects, engineers, contractors and home owners. Projects Mike has had responsibility for include high rise office buildings (including gold and silver LEED® rated buildings), government office buildings, shopping centers, malls and retail stores, high rise condominium projects, mixed use projects, housing developments, apartment buildings, restaurants, resort properties, golf courses, amusement parks, manufacturing facilities, mineral processing facilities and both surface and subsurface mines, water treatment plants, chemical plants, power transmission lines and single family homes. Mike’s experience also includes representing clients in construction related litigation, both locally and on a national level.  Mike is an expert on Utah's complicated mechanic's lien laws.

Mike was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and received his B.A. from Weber State College, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi. He received his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law in 1988, where he was a member and comment editor of the Utah Law Review and a William H. Leary Scholar. He is a member of the Utah State Bar and is licensed to practice before all Utah state and federal courts and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell.
