Several Jones Waldo attorneys participated in Wills for Heroes, a program to help police officers, firefighters and other first responders obtain estate planning documents and wills free of charge.
Deacon Haymond and Lori Nelson, along with other attorneys, were able to provide volunteer service through the Young Lawyers Division and help these civil servants setup some basic estate planning documents.
Mr. Haymond and Mark Morrise co-drafted the documents for Wills for Heroes, putting in enough time for the project to be the intial recipients of an award named in their honor.
The Lexis-Nexis bus also attended the pro bono event, appropriate since their HotDocs software is used to prepare the document templates for the various first responders according to their needs and wishes.
