Alex has expertise in many areas of Sports Law. As former in-house counsel for United States Ski and Snowboard Association, he has first-hand experience with myriad sports-related legal issues.

Alex has handled drafting and negotiation of sponsorship and licensing agreements, major sport event agreements, prosecution and protection of intellectual property, drafting of Olympic and World Championships athlete selection criteria, and counseling sports bodies and athletes on compliance with the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act.

You’ve heard the story before. Weekend Warrior comes to Park City on vacation for his annual ski trip with his buddies. In the lift line, the group engages in a round of testosterone-fueled chest thumping.  Succumbing to peer pressure, the Warrior decides to ski beyond his ability level and injures himself. Sometime later, after listening to others who convince him that his injury couldn’t possibly be his fault, he files suit.
