Litigates cases related to business competition and innovation, including trade-secret disputes, enforcement of restrictive covenants, and anti-competitive business practices. Advises and represents employers in cases related to civil rights, discrimination, harassment, payment of wages, wrongful discharge, and compliance with state and federal law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Education

Attended the University of Iowa College of Law, where he served as the Editor in Chief of the Iowa Law Review, captained the Jessup Moot Court team, received the Dean’s Award for Constitutional Law, and earned a joint MBA at Iowa’s Tippie College of Business. Prior to law school, attended the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, where he earned an MFA in poetry. As an undergraduate, attended Princeton University and then Brigham Young University, graduating with degrees in English and Economics.
